As of June 1, 2023, Roel has been appointed Chief Financial Officer. He has a background as a chartered accountant and has held various positions at KPMG. As a partner at KPMG, Roel worked in the financial services audit practice, specifically focusing on Private Equity clients. In his role as CFO at Nordian, his responsibilities include overseeing financial reporting, including financial statements and fund reporting, HR, risk management and compliance. He is also a member of the investment committee. Roel has a Master of Science in Accountancy & Control and completed the postgraduate RA course at the University of Amsterdam.
