Ventilation specialist Steboma acquires industry peer Innovent from Econox. With the acquisition, the Steboma group (backed by Waterland Private Equity) strengthens its position in the design, supply and installation of ventilation systems within the southern region of the Dutch residential market.

Innovent is a specialist in the design, supply and installation of ventilation systems. Here, like Steboma, the company focuses on serial construction and high-rise buildings within the residential segment of the market. The group counts several leading construction companies among its customers. Some examples of projects include the Sonata Tower in The Hague, the transformation of the Philips business school in Eindhoven, and the Bakermat in Eindhoven. Here, Innovent acts as a leading specialist in air technology and as a trusted knowledge partner. Until the transaction, Innovent was part of the Econox Group.

Sebas van Vugt, CEO of Econox says: “In its 23 years of existence, Innovent has experienced strong growth and Econox has also emerged. Econox is currently growing fast and has a different business model than Innovent. This makes it a rational move to find a new partner where we can house Innovent. On the one hand so that Econox can focus on its further growth ambitions, and on the other so that Innovent has the room to grow further within its field of expertise. In this respect, we have known Steboma for several years as a solid and ambitious company and are confident that Innovent and its employees will find themselves in a warm bath.”.

"The Steboma Group has a clear ambition to become the leading ventilation specialist in the Netherlands. The group has activities in residential new build, in the non-residential segment, the renovation segment and in the maintenance of ventilation systems. After the previous acquisitions of Van Bommel Ventilatietechniek, Elite Ventilatie and the Vink Group, Steboma is taking another step forward with the acquisition of Innovent," says Marco Koster of Steboma. "The acquisition of Innovent fits perfectly within our ambitions and together we are even better able to offer suitable solutions for challenges in the field of air technology. We look forward to welcoming Morten Sweegers and the other Innovent colleagues within the Steboma Group."

This new step for Innovent is in line with Econox's long-term strategy, allowing it to continue to focus on international growth as a high-quality manufacturer and distributor of ventilation systems. Econox has a strong position as a supplier and partner of installation companies, serving both consumers and small business professionals (e.g. via, via international web shops.
